World Animal Day
When I think of World Animal Day, I first think of animals that are having a hard time in their lives, but almost at the same time I think of pets. The day has been held since 1927, but in the Netherlands we started it in 1930. Colloquially we simply call it Animal Day. October 4 is the day that pets receive extra pampering. Some people immediately turn it into a party. And when you talk about a party, I think about decorating a room. And of course, beautiful napkins with animal prints go well with that.
